CASE STUDY: K SPORTS

The Scoop

Cobdown Sports Ground in Kent has a reputation for excellence that spans many years, but in 2016 it was decided that the facilities needed a new lease of life to help them keep up with changing times, and that’s when K Sports was born.

The K Sports management team were keen to take the Grounds to the next level, and really get their name on the map, and this was achieved through a massive building and refurbishment project that saw the addition of new pitches, a new gym block and a total reworking of the existing bar areas, as well as a brand new, state of the art business centre.

The Approach

Of course you can’t have state of the art anything without the technology to match, and that’s where Tinder comes in. We were engaged as part of the acquisition team at the very outset, in order to act as a one stop shop for everything technological. We started by securing and auditing all the IT systems for the project, and totally overhauling the existing tech. Our engineers lay brand new structured cabling across the entire site, and fitted underground fibre optics underneath the football pitches in order to connect the various parts of the site and allow a 500mb internet connection throughout.

We also supplied said internet connection, which meant that we could fully manage the entire system and everything in it. We provided all of K Sports’ IT and EPOS systems, linking every piece of software so that the entire system would run smoothly and consistently. We fit a new telephone system, which we manage and support, and aided in the creation of a top-end loyalty card system that facilitates seamless management throughout, and has made K Sports a cashless site.

The Happily Ever After

We continue to manage and support K Sports’ IT needs, performing regular security audits on their network and providing any assistance they or their members may need. The overhaul of the K Sports site has brought fresh life to the local community and generated interest in the grounds nationwide. The facilities now play host to Dartford FC as well as the newly formed K Sports FC, and act as a base for the Kent Football Association. This patronage has allowed the instigation of some truly exemplary educational programmes, which are helping to inspire a love of sports in the next generation.

We are confident that our relationship with K Sports will continue for some time to come, especially with the launch of a new, top secret project that is going to be of enormous benefit to K Sports members. I can’t say too much for now, but watch this space: you won’t be disappointed!
