This time on ‘Meet the Team’ we’re talking to Head of Finance, and relative newbie, Rob Marchant. Rob joined the Tinder Corp team 5 months ago, after deciding to leave his old job and follow his true passion for finance.
Rob realised that his head for numbers and love of accounting made him the perfect candidate for an AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification, which he is now pursuing. He was therefore keen to land a job in an associated field and, CEOs John and Paul were quick to recognise Rob’s potential. They gave him a trial run, which soon became a permanent job thanks to his obvious talent for the role.
Tinder Corp is the perfect environment for Rob, who loves IT and is an avid PC gamer:
“I love anything to do with computers and even met my wife through an online PC game! Tinder Corp is perfect for me because I can fulfil a finance role within an IT environment. Add to that the fact that this is by far and away the friendliest and most welcoming company I’ve ever dealt with, and it’s obvious that I’ve found my perfect job. My plan is to work my way up to Finance Director in four years, and John and Paul are extremely supportive of my goals”
