Here at Tinder Corp we’re dedicated to the development of our team, both as a group and as individuals. When John and Paul founded the company many many centuries ago (oh ok, so they’re not that old), they were adamant that if they were going to run a business, they were going to do it properly. To us that means taking the time and making the effort to ensure that our practices are up to code and our staff are trained, not just in the things they need to know, but in all those extra things that will help our business to stay at the very forefront of our industry.
In our book a team should work together for the betterment of all involved, and that means that everyone, from trainee to CEO, should be dedicated to learning as much as possible.
You may remember our recent article about our newest colleague Charlie Hayes completing his apprenticeship and becoming an Infrastructure Technician – but did you know that CEO and co-founder John Amey is considered a ‘telecommunications specialist’ and that, as such, we are in the process of applying for ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) membership for him? This ‘expert status’ has been conferred thanks to his completion of the City & Guilds training as follows:
- Level 2 Award in Communications Cabling – with a module in the Principles of Communication Cabling
- Level 2 Award in Communications Cabling- Fibre Optic Cabling in an Internal Environment
- Level 2 Award in Communications Cabling- Fibre Optic Cabling in an External Environment
He has also completed the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme). As you can see, our CEO is building up a pretty impressive resume (but we don’t mention it too often as we don’t have time to widen all the doors to accommodate his big head).
In addition to our earliest and most recent team members smashing it, we have recently run courses for all or parts of the staff, including Leading Safely – a course approved and validated by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, as well as completing our SA002 Underground Safety certification.
Members of our team have trained in the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment,as well as First Aid and Fire Marshalling, and we carry out a number of staff wide training initiatives, such as GDPR (with internally provided training), and recognised Health & Safety Awareness Courses (provided by SHE Management (UK) Ltd).
Now it may sound like we’re showing off here: and, let’s face it, we are! You see when you’ve worked as hard as we have to stay at the top of your game it’s important to sit back and reflect on all you’ve achieved. We’re proud of every single member of the Tinder Corp team and we revel in passing on this expertise, dedication and devotion to all our clients.
Rest assured that we’ll continue to strive for excellence because at Tinder we have that spark of passion in everything we do.
