Cyber Attacks: who do they affect?

Cyber Attacks: who do they affect?

by Tinder Corp Media, 9th February 2023

The answer, unfortunately, is everybody.

From the one man band to the global corporation, all businesses have the potential to be targets of cyber-attacks.

This was shown to the case just a few weeks ago when the Royal Mail was subject to just such an attack.

The Royal Mail found itself a victim of cybercrime, when a virus interrupted their foreign export service, meaning that thousands of packages destined for abroad were severely delayed. The already beleaguered organisation was once more faced with angry complaints from customers when the attack happened on January 10th and brought a temporary halt to external shipping.

In the past week the LockBit ransomware operation has claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that confidential information will be leaked if a ransom is not paid.

These cyber criminals are sadly now part of the very fabric of IT and the only way to defend against them is to keep your cyber security bang up to date.

At Tinder Corp we specialise in creating and implanting security protocols suited to your business that will stop cyber criminals in their tracks.
