If you’re familiar with our Meet the Team articles then you may know that our Network Infrastructure Team Install & Termination Manager Sean Marriott is nuts about Rugby. So much so in fact that he plays for the first team at Medway RFC.
Sean’s been playing the game since he was 5 years old, and as a Utility Back in a semi pro team, he’s got a pretty impressive record.
It was his enthusiasm for the game and for the team that made Tinder Corp want to sponsor the side.
Based in Rochester, the team is currently mid-way through the season as part of the English League and is definitely holding their own. However, it’s not just the first team that’s grabbing the glory: Medway RFC have a whopping 24 teams, including mens, womens, girls, youths and childrens. It’s a fantastic organisation that encourages and promotes sport in the local area and we’re very proud to sponsor it.
Games take place on Saturday afternoons and entry is free, so if you’ve got the time and fancy a fun afternoon then head down and cheer them on (cheer extra loud for Sean, it won’t embarrass him…honest…)
